Talk 1:1 with a
former Jump Trading
quant.
Real, no-bullshit answers about breaking into quant — interviews, day-to-day, careers — from someone who actually did the job.

About Adrien
Adrien Lemercier
former quant researcher
Former quantitative researcher at Jump Trading.
MS in Computational Mathematics, Stanford University (ICME). École Polytechnique (X), France's top engineering school. 3× International Mathematical Olympiad medalist representing France. Co-author of the canonical French olympiad compilation Les Olympiades de Mathématiques (Bornsztein / Budzinski / Jugé, 2006–2021).
Currently building a startup in San Francisco.
I've sat on the other side of the table — I know what these firms actually look for.
“I spent years at Jump Trading. There's a lot I can tell you about the industry — and a small set of things I can't. I'll always be upfront about what's off-limits.”

What I can — and can't —
talk about
I'm under NDA from my time at Jump Trading. There's a lot I can share — the industry, the interview process, how the work actually feels, general technical concepts at the level of the public literature. There's a small set of things I can't: specific strategies, signals, PnL, proprietary infrastructure, or anything that could be reconstructed as Jump IP. I'll always be upfront about what's off-limits in a session.

FAQ
Common questions
What can I actually ask you?
Anything about the quant finance world: how to break in, how interviews work, how the day-to-day feels, which skills matter, which paths are realistic. Resume review, mock interviews, career decisions — all fair game. Adjacent topics too: Math Olympiad prep, applying to Stanford or top US programs, crypto and DeFi quant work, AI in finance, startup advice.
What can't you talk about? (NDA)
I'm under NDA from my time at Jump Trading. I can't share specific trading strategies, signals, PnL, proprietary infrastructure, or anything that could be reconstructed as Jump IP. I'll always tell you upfront when a question is off-limits — no awkward surprises.
I'm not into quant — is this still useful?
If you're interested in adjacent areas — Math Olympiad prep, applying to Stanford or top US programs, founding a startup, crypto and DeFi quant work, or AI in finance — yes, it can still be valuable. If your question is completely outside that space, feel free to reach out first to check.
How is this different from a Reddit thread / Discord / paid course?
You get a real person with real experience, focused entirely on your specific situation for 30 or 60 minutes. No generic advice, no affiliate links, no course to sell you. Direct answers based on what you actually need.
Will you do mock interviews?
Yes — that's what the Mock Interview tier is for. 60 minutes of interview simulation followed by approximately one page of written feedback delivered within 48 hours.
What if I want to book multiple sessions or a package?
Book individual sessions for now. If you want to discuss a multi-session arrangement, mention it during the call and we can figure something out.
What's the refund policy?
Full refund if Adrien cancels and can't reschedule within 14 days.
What languages are sessions in?
Sessions are available in English and French.
Can we do this async — by email or in writing?
Not currently. Sessions are live video calls. If async Q&A becomes an option in the future, it'll be listed here.
How fast can I book?
After payment, the confirmation page and email include Adrien's Cal.com link so you can pick a slot immediately. If you need help, email adrien@askaquant.com.
